We are in a historical moment where we must reach out and determine the future of mankind. Is “Asset-based economy” that advocates “more is better” the only way out? Would there be new paths to a more sustainable economy? We are facing significant transitions and numerous detrimental threats, including the increasingly interdependent economies, worsening ecology, aging population and more unfavorable factors. To sustain our beautiful earth, we must learn that we are all in the same boat. We must cooperate and figure out what we really need in the future.
We must create a sustainable global society based on the respect to the nature, ethics, economic justice and above all the vision to build a happy society and harmonious culture. We are all responsible to change, to foster in-depth education on ecological and economic development, and encourage an enthusiastic life style of wide variety and great flexibility, so as to build a more comprehensive and healthy society, more importantly, to ensure the well-being of our future generations.
The Health Impact Assessment Toolkit of the World Health Organization (WHO) indicated the proportion of “healthy and happy population” of a society depends on many factors, such as environmental, personal, social and economic factors.
